CISF Head-Constable Backlog posts Jan-2013

Special Recruitment Drive for filling up Backlog vacancies of SC, ST OBC and Ex-Serviceman for the post of Head Constable/ Ministerial in CISF -2012 

Applications are invited from Male Indian citizens for filling up following posts of Constables in CISF : 
  • Head Constable /Ministerial :  464 posts (OBC-195, SC-88, ST-59 , Ex-Serviceman-122), Pay Scale : Rs.5200-20200 grade pay Rs.2400, Age : 18-25 years as on 01/08/2012, relaxation as per rules.
 OnApplication Fee: Fee of Rs.50/- for OBC male candidates only in the form of Postal Order drawn in favour of the respective officers where to be applied.

(iv) Fee Payment: Fee payment will be accepted from 2nd working day after registration and can be made within three working days at any branch of State Bank of India.  System generated fee payment challan will be used for depositing fee. (For example: If one has registered on 17.01.2013, then he/she will be able to deposit the fee from 19th to 22 nd   January,2013, considering 20th   is a non- working day). Once fee paid, the registration process is completed.

(v) Candidate will receive registration confirmation by SMS/e-mail after two working days from the date of payment of fees. Please ensure to furnish correct Mobile number / e-mail address to receive the registration confirmation.
Note- - There is also a provision to reprint the submitted application containing fee details, after three days from the date of fee
payment.
(6) SELECTION PROCEDURE
The Recruitment process will have two stages:
STAGE-1:- Written Examination:-
Note:- a) There will be Penalty for wrong answers.  For every wrong answer marked by the candidates, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted.
b) Examination will be conducted on-line.
c) Cut-Offs (Minimum Qualifying Marks) on Objective Tests will be decided based on the Group performance.
d)  The candidates will be shortlisted for typing test and interview for the post of LDC and Inspector  respectively.
STATE - II- Interview OR Typing Test.
Interview for the post of Provident Fund Inspector:- Only certain number of candidates from amongst those who qualify by ranking high enough in the merit list of written examination will be called for interview in the ratio of maximum 4 candidates for each
vacancy.  Candidates are required to score a minimum percentage marks (to be decided by the Board) in interview to be
considered for final selection.  5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD/XS category will be available thereon.  Final selection will be
made on the basis of candidate's performance in the written test and typing test/interview taken together.
Typing Test for the post of Lower Division Clerks:-  Candidates will be required to appear for the Typing Test to assess speed
of 35 words per minute in typing in English on Computer OR 30 words per minute in Hindi on Computer.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES
1 Commission will be holding Combined  Graduate Level Examination,2013 for recruitment to
different posts for which Graduation from a recognized University is the minimum
Educational Qualification. The Examination will comprise   of  two Tiers of Written Objective
Type  examination followed  by  Computer Proficiency Test/  Interview/Skill test,  wherever
applicable as per the Scheme  of Examination and a descriptive/on-line test of qualifying nature
for candidates shortlisted for interview/skill test/document verification.  Posts have been placed in
two groups, inter-alia,   based on their Grade Pay and papers in Tier II examination/Interview.
Preference  for Posts, is  to be indicated in the application. Candidates are requested to note that
preference for Posts once exercised will be final. Request for change of preference will not be
considered under any circumstance. For the post of Assistant in CSS, candidate shall have not
more than  three attempts  unless covered by any of the exceptions notified by Government of
India.
2 In view of the huge number of applicants, scrutiny of the eligibility  category etc. will  not  be
undertaken at the time of Tier-I  and Tier-II examination  . Therefore,   the  application will be
accepted provisionally only. The candidates are advised to go through the requirements of
educational qualification, age,   physical standards etc and satisfy themselves that they are
eligible, before applying and before indicating their preference for any particular post. Commission
does not allot finally selected candidates to other posts in the event of their ineligibility for the
selected post due to any reason whatsoever.   Copies of supporting documents will be sought only
from those candidates who  appear in Tier-II examination at the time of interview/skill
test/document verification.  Candidature will be cancelled if any information or claim is not found
substantiated when the scrutiny of documents is undertaken by the Commission after Tier-II of the
Examination. Commission‘s decision shall be final in this regard.
3 CANDIDATES IN THEIR OWN INTEREST ARE ADVISED TO GO THROUGH THE DETAILED
INSTRUCTIONS CONTAINED IN THIS NOTICE, WHICH IS ALSO  AVAILABLE ON THE WEBSITE OF

4 Candidates  seeking  reservation benefits for SC/ST/OBC/PH/EXS  must ensure that they are
entitled to such reservation as per eligibility prescribed  in the Notice .They should also be  in
possession  of the required certificates in the prescribed format in support of their  claim as
stipulated in this Notice.  OBC candidates  should ensure that they are in possession of valid OBC
Certificate issued within the due date issued by the authority mentioned in the format.
5 Candidates with visual disability of 40% and more  will  only be   considered as  VISUALLY
HANDICAPPED  and entitled to reservation for VH candidates, wherever such reservation is

The Indian Banking sector offers  opportunities for a career in specialized fields like IT, Technical,

the first CWE for Specialist Officers held in March 2012 expiring in April 2013,  the next Common Written
Examination (CWE SPL-II) as a pre-requisite for selection of personnel for the following Specialist cadre

Any eligible candidate, who aspires to join any of the Public Sector Banks listed below as an Officer in one of
the Specialist Officers’ posts mentioned above, is required to clear the Common Written Examination (CWE).
Candidates who qualify in CWE SPL-II, will subsequently be called for a Common Interview to be coordinated by IBPS. Candidates, successful in qualifying in both the CWE and Common Interview will be
listed in the order of merit. Depending on the vacancies in each bank of his/her preference, candidate will
receive through a computerised system an offer from one of the Participating Public Sector Banks listed
below. Vacancies remaining unfilled on account of candidates declining offer, will be filled from among the
remaining candidates, through subsequent iterations.
This system of Common Written Examination and common interview for recruitment of Specialist Officers
in Participating PSBs has the approval of the appropriate authorities.
 
Candidates intending to appear for CWE will have to apply to IBPS after carefully reading the advertisement
regarding the process of examination and interview, eligibility criteria, online registration process, payment of
prescribed application fee/ intimation charges, pattern of examination, issuance of call letters etc.
